In a Page 2 story in Wednesday’s paper titled, “Council OK’s delays in Gateway project,” the partners of Tracy Gateway LLC were incorrectly stated. Richard Pombo’s cousins own land, as does San Joaquin County Supervisor Leroy Ornellas and two of his relatives, on which Gateway will be built but are not partners in the company. The Press regrets the error.

That accounts for the favorable, backscratching treatment from the 4-1 Tracy City Council vote. This is just more political indebtedness by 4 council members.
