Tracy police received 380 calls for service Sunday and Saturday. The following is a sampling of those reports: Sunday: 12:21 a.m.: A man reported that a guy was looking into the window of his car with a flashlight on the 300 block of East Clover Road. The caller said the guy hopped in a black four-door car, and police were later flagged down by a woman who said she saw someone with a flashlight looking in a different car on the street. 12:23 a.m.: Police detained a person after medics treated a man with a cut to his face after a fight at the Great Plate, 714 N. Central Ave. 4:28 a.m.: Two men a woman stole an 18-pack of cans of beer from Quik Stop at 1152 Lincoln Blvd. 8:17 a.m.: A caller from Best Buy at 2250 Naglee Road reported someone stole gasoline. 8:51 a.m.: A man reported someone broke the side mirror and threw Baskin Robbins cake on her car on the 600 block of Longfellow Court. The man said his wife had a confrontation recently with an employee of Baskin Robbins after his wife turned in the employee for smoking drugs while at work. 8:52 a.m.: A caller from Orchard Restaurant 2351 Toste Road reported that a man walked out without paying his bill and was seen in the parking lot “with a steak knife trying to eat his shoe” and talking to himself. Police detained the man at a gas station and warned him. 9:23 a.m.: Someone spray painted graffiti on the concession stand and restroom buildings at the Tracy Sports Complex at 955 Crossroads Road. 10:34 p.m.: Someone broke out a sliding glass window in a home on the 1000 block of Roy Frerichs Lane, but apparently did not enter the home. 11:38 p.m.: An upset woman reported that a neighbor yelled at her for hitting her dog on the 900 block of West Sixth Street, but the caller complained she does not hit her dog and couldn’t understand her neighbor very well because the caller doesn’t speak English well. 11:43 a.m.: A caller left a home unlocked on the 3000 block of Redbridge Road, and told police someone burglarized the house. 1:40 p.m.: A caller reported the gazebo was “full of graffiti” at Lincoln Park at 170 E. Eaton Ave. 2:27 p.m.: A man reported that someone in a Ford Mustang spun tires than broke out his car windshield and damaged a minivan at the Country Market at Linne Road and Tracy Boulevard. 2:42 p.m.: A caller reported someone stole the caller’s car while the car owner shopped at Gottschalk’s at 3400 Naglee Road. The car was found in the parking lot there. 2:50 p.m.: A woman on the 4700 block of Dandelion Loop used a Web camera to catch her “soon-to-be-ex-husband” and her brother-in-law smoking crack. She asked police what to do because she doesn’t want to get in trouble for their drug habit. 3:28 p.m.: Police took a man who was on parole into custody for shoplifting at Save Mart at 2005 N. Tracy Blvd. 3:48 p.m.: A caller reported that kids said other children were shooting paint ball guns at Kelly Elementary School at 535 Joseph Mabeline Drive. 5:36 p.m.: A caller reported that a 7-to-10-year-old kid was riding a bike in a driveway was yelling at neighbors to “go back to Mexico.” The kid also kicked the caller’s car as the kid rode by. 6:04 p.m.: A woman on probation was arrested for shoplifting at Save Mart, 2005 N. Tracy Blvd. 6:26 p.m.: A caller from the Orchard Restaurant at 2351 Toste Road reported a man walked out without paying his bill and then passed out in his car. Police found his asleep in his Mercedes Benz. 7:56 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke out a window and burglarized the caller’s home on the 2900 block of Branbury Court. 9:30 p.m.: Police went to West High School at 1775 W. Lowell Ave. after a caller reported someone spray painted graffiti on a building at the school. 10:28 p.m.: A woman reported someone stole the license plate off her car at Jack in the Box at 611 W. Grant Line Road. She thinks it was a man she saw in the parking lot there. 11 p.m.: A caller from the Safeway gas station at 1987 W. 11th St. reported that someone used a fake $100 bill to buy gas. Saturday: 12:15 a.m.: Police arrested a man on suspicion of drunken driving after they found him passed out behind the wheel of his white Chevy HHR at 11th and B streets. 12:54 a.m.: Police arrested a drunken man after he showed up to his ex-girlfriend’s house, knocked on the door and began screaming on the 2100 block of Bridal Creek Circle. He was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp. 1:07 a.m.: A caller reported a bunch of people being loud and smoking pot at the Extended Stay America, 2526 Pavilion Pkwy. 2:04 a.m.: A guy ran off after he stole beer from the Quik Stop at 1153 Lincoln Blvd. 2:57 a.m.: Police arrested a man on suspicion of drunken driving after he sideswiped his neighbor’s car on the 400 block of West Kavanagh Avenue. The man’s car was towed and he was taken to county jail. 9:12 a.m.: A woman on the 2500 block of Marie Antoinette Lane reported that her laptop was stolen a couple of months ago, and that now she’s receiving “creepy e-mail” about gang initiation activity at Deuel Vocational Institution. 9:26 a.m.: A man on the 1800 block of Foxwood Drive reported that he applied to be a “secret shopper,” and that he was sent a $3,000 check and told to cash it and then go around and rate stores. He thought it might be a scam because he thought the amount was a lot of money for the job. 10:47 a.m.: A woman reported Tracy Press delivery people were causing a stink with her and “caller her racial names.” 10:59 a.m.: Police warned someone for having too many garage sales after a caller reported the sales go on “every weekend with a bunch of new products.” People are only allowed to have four garage sales a year. 11 a.m.: A caller reported someone broke a window at the Sierra House group home on the 200 block of Whittier Ave. 12:17 p.m.: A caller from Van’s Shoes at 1005 Pescadero Ave. reported four women walked out of a store with a pair of shoes no one paid for. 1:06 p.m.: A caller from Maxims at 3380 N. Tracy Blvd. reported that a customer had too much to drink was about to pass out. The man was taken to the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. 2:53 p.m.: A caller reported that a man took the nozzle off a hose and left his shoes on a porch before he walked off talking to himself on the 1800 block of Duncan Drive. The man was also seen opening mailboxes. 4:01 p.m.: A 13-year-old boy reported that someone stole his bike at the In-Shape health club at 101 N. Tracy Blvd. 4:43 p.m.: A caller from the Sierra House group home on the 200 block of W. Whittier Avenue reported that a 12-year-old boy got upset and sat in the middle of the street, saying that he was waiting for a car to run him over. The kid fought with another child at the home, and then ran back inside the house. 6 p.m.: Police arrested a man on domestic violence charges after he threw his wife against a cupboard and punched her in the stomach in west Tracy. 6:30 p.m.: A caller reported a group of girls in a room at the Hampton Inn at 2400 Nalgee Road and that a strong smell of drugs came from the room. 6:38 p.m.: A woman walked into the police station at 1000 Civic Center Drive and reported that someone stole everything in her purse while she was at a party at a friend’s house. • This column includes a sampling of items as reported in the Tracy Police Department dispatcher’s daily log.
