But the Obama agenda and methods for change may finally be coming into focus… Letter from Africa In a letter received from American missionaries who have spent the last twelve years living and serving in Africa, the Agent of Change comes into focus. The letter opens with “Thanks for sending out an alert about Obama. We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent [2007] Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don’t know the last count of the dead.” The letter goes on, “Obama, under “friends of Obama” gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in East Germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country!” Then the missionaries make their biggest statement, “What we would like you to know is what the American press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a Muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 911 threat that was just the beginning. Jihad is the only true Muslim way.” This message comes from American missionaries who have been working among Muslim groups for the last twenty years, the last twelve among Obama’s tribe (family) in Kenya. report abuse

I feel that it is crucial to list news from "primary sources" such as academic journals or reports from major news agency that assume responsibility of news of any presidential candidate. To use information from an obcre source to slander any presidential candidate is not only irresponsible but should be held accountible by the campaign of any presidential candidate as a form of "public defamation". I would imagine that if the Barack Obama campaign office knew about this blog they would have objections to this irresponsible blog defaming Mr.Obama in public by a reputable publication as the Tracy Press. Whether the candidate is John Mccain, Hillary Clinton, or Barack Obama, we as descent citizens of America should be responsible on information and the sources about the candidates before we slander them in public. Ideally we as concerned citizens should be having discussions about each candidates policy issues and how the issues relate to the future of our country rather then focusing on character assasination. report abuse

It sounds like everyone has bought into the mainstream corporate media's agenda of focusing the public's attention on superficial aspects of the presidential candidates. (i.e. Clinton's Bosnia, John Mccain's age/temper (BTW there was also some corporate news on his pastor defaming the Roman Catholic Church) Barack Obama's pastor/church. If we as Americans are truly concerned about the state of nation and the future, we should be focusing on the issues that we face as a nation such as rising gas prices, rising unemployment, global and domestic food crisis, housing market meltdown, increased medical costs (47 million uninsured) and increasing poverty rates. As long as we are focused on the personal issues of the candidates, we are contributing to the corporate media sell their product. Instead we as citizens should be pushing our media and elected officials to address the issues that are affecting us directly. If we don't, these crtical social issues will never be resolved.

As usual the small mindedness prevails. Rather than talk substance we talk about what a preacher said and relate that to a member of the preachers church. I'm sure this makes those of you, who wanted an excuse, feel better about hating Barrack. You can even say now that you have a reason its not racist, nice hiding place.

Would you hang out with Rv. Wright? Would you have him baptise your kids and marry you and your wife? What kind of people attend a church with a kook that fosters hate a racisum? And this guy wants to be president. Attending this seperatist church for twenty years means something. Obama used this church to ramp up his political traction. Now he is playing the dozens with the public and Trinity while doing damage control.

Where's the same balance on point as to some of the comments suggested by Hagee and Parsely to presidential republican nominnee McCain. Or maybe you subscribe to 700 Club's televangelist Pat Robertson's suggestion that, "it would be in the U.S. best interest to assassinate Venezuela's President Huego Chavez." If you're worried about, "the chikens coming home to roost," there's an endless array of "kooks" and anti-semites out there, all trying to get "their fifteen minutes of fame." I'm convinced though, you may actually have a point. I doubt this is the last we've heard from Reverend Wright -I suggest "cow-tipping." report abuse

Despite the fact that it makes good news, I wouldn't want to be called a sex offender if my priest, pastor or whatever was convicted of a sex offense. Neither would I want to be labeled a supporter of sex offenders and sex offenses at that church that I attended if the leader of my church was convicted! This is the same ridiculous logic. What if I just wanted to attend that church to pray, now I should be labeled as havng a close relations with a sex offender and "I should have left the church a longtime ago..." If I attend church it is so I can have a time to pray, why should I be labeled as a sex offender or a supporter of sex offenses if the leader of my church was convicted of a crime or any crime. Should I not be eligible of a job because I had attended and donated to a church where my church leader was convicted of a sex crime? I don't think anybody would and of course they would "distance" themselves... BTW there have been many leaders of churches convicted of crimes that hurt others. Are those the sins of the believers? Should the believers be judged by society and refused jobs? If then we should all be punished because human beings are not free of sin!

Well I totally agree with the stereo typical outlooks that should be shunned here. I am however, worried about the cadidates who will be running this great country. Especially in a dangerouse time. Yeah, just because he attended this church for approximately twenty years doesn't mean anything at all. Church is to sooth the inner spirit and instill morals and issues about our society. I think i might be damaged if I sat and listened to Wrights sermons for that long, I would have to be forced to remain there listening to the hate filled lies that he is pounding into the next generations minds to carry on. I think the trinity Church is so far to the left and liberal that it is almost a cult and to the point of being dangerously radical. I hope Mr. and Mrs. Obama are proud of themselves for bringing their childeren to hear Reverand Wrights anti-semetic racist The White USA, anti american, KKK and his making a note of the HIV virus being cooked up by the united states. It is quite clear that this ICONIC Reverand to the obama family is pretty close to a radical racist. I forgot to mention his ties to louis farrakan and Muammar Khadafi. I agree we should not judge but, I also agree strongly that all of this is past the tipping point and it is the right thing to do to look at Obama closer. By saying that "If you laydown with the dogs you are surely to get some fleas" means that for all the church goers who had relations to a pastor, priest, rabbi... who have been convicted of sex crimes or any crime for that matter under the law should be considered "dangerous", because they "SURELY" were influenced in ther behaviors and thinking. Then we shouldn't "hire" these people based upon that they may be dangerous? It is also interesting that you mentioned about Obama and Clinton(BTW She is affiliated with the "Fellowship" a secret rightwing religious groups which involve a number of Washington biggies and also had some controversial things said by her pastor Refer to:Google Fellowship Hillary Clinton) I think yo forgot to mention Mr.Mccain and his pastor John Hagee who has called the Roman Catholic Church "The Great Whore", "The apostate church", "The anti- christ", "A false cult system". In Hagee's latest book, "Jeusalem Countdown", He called Hitler a Catholic who murdered Jews while the Catholic Church did nothing.(For the record Hitler persecuted the Catholic Church and was excommunicated in 1931 before taking power. (Refer www.catholicleague.org) Wow does that mean we and Catholics in America shouldn't vote for Mr.Mccain who heard these hateful sermons over the years? Shouldn't Mr.Mccain be held responsible like Mr.Obama and retract his embrace of Hagee? What kind of double standard is this? I will say this, Obamas have twenty years worth of radical fleas. Most of his fellow reverands also condem his black-seperatist theology sermins. He is a old schooler from the radical sixty's who barks his hate for what has happened in the past and doesn't focus on anything positive in the future. Obama is way far left and so is his flea bag pastor. So far left he has lost sight of anything positive how he can serve his parrish.

So every catholic and anybody who is a Christian shouldn't vote for Obama or Mccain because they have ties to hateful pators and heard hateful sermons? I don't know chickens if you are too blind to see the onesidedness o your viewpoint because you still haven't mentioned anything about Mccain and his pastor or do you only accept news from one side! JEREMIAH WRIGHT and JOHN HAGEE are equally guilty for preaching hate in their sermons in church where they know better than to preach hate to Christians! And just as Obama is far left like his pastor, John Mccain is far right that they may have lot sight America!

JOHN HAGEE is not John McCain's pator. John McCain hasn't sat in Hagee's church for two decades. I think the logic behind Rev Wrongs sermons are hate filled and Hagee's are more in line with todays war on terrorisum and the drclining fabric of todays america like what Wright preches on, I haven't heard any love from Trinity. Wright go's to see Louis Farrakahn who is a stoned cold 101% racist to the bone, and together they fly off to see Khadafi. Do I need to hit the sub total button for you after doing the math? Or are you that far gone? Even Oprah quit the racist church.

Obama referred to rev. wright as his uncle and listed rev. wright as his spiritual advisor for his campaign and placed him on a committee. The distance B.H.O. is suddenly trying to create is nothing more than a political necessity.

Pastor John Hagee preaches hate of Catholics and made some absolutely outrageous hateful comments let's not shove it under the rug like it's in lines of "war on terrorism". What part of calling the Catholic Church "The Great Whore" or "anti christ" or "fast cult system" has anything to do with the war on terror? Obama's pastor is a hateful bigot so as Mccain's Pastor Hagee and we have plenty of you tube videos and resources where he has been teaching hate against catholics. Hate is hate and Mccain should be held accountable like Obama and should distance himself from his pastor as well. Hate and bigotry doesn't belong in church and state and we should hold ALL people running for office accountable not just the ones we like. No for Obama and No for Mccain with pastors filled with hate. "The Answer is lipstick!", "Do you know the difference between a woman and a terrorist?", "You can negotiate with a terrorist" making hate mongering and derogatory remarks of woman! 4) John Hagee has also remarked about JEWS in a statement that Jews were being punished by God because of their "disobediance and rebellion to God" from the time of Canaan til today! I have the feeling shareholder stocks in womens pants-suits just increased by another 105% percent: And what one has to admire given political theater for Barack Obama to have the moral valissitude of divesting himself (admittedly it looked painful) from his former "mentor"/"pastor". Who by all accounts has transformed into something out-of-a-1960's Anti-American militant propagandist.

People are fed up with basic BS policies Republican and Democrats who stuff their pockets of "campaign" money from corporations and executives. Those same BS policies such as "NAFTA" "CAFTA" "WTO" among with the "Telecommunications Act", "Deregulation of the glass steagel act", "Deregulation of energy and commodities investments","Dergegulating the Heath Care Industry and Pharmaceutical Industry" are hurting us by taking jobs away from us to India, China and third world countries where the corporations run sweat shops and get to import their stuff in for free without paying any tariffs to protect our jobs here. Helps making corporations like Shell, Exxon, Chevron, ArcoBP, and Shell have a monopoly to screw us on gas prices and let their shareholders (like the millionaires of the middle east) walk away with the profits, Helps Microsoft and AT&T have a monopoly and gobble up competition while raking in profits, Helped create a free environment so banks could give out bad mortgages like candy and quickly sell it off to millionaires on the secondary market to make quick money. Helps big PHARMA pharmaceutical companies make patents and monopolize their products using our tax money to do the research on their products and help big insurance companies make a heap of money by dropping them into bankruptcy(50% of bankruruptcies in the US are caused by medical costs) all these are enough to screw the average citizens and I think we are sick and tired of the same old "song and dance" of we're here to "protect you and your rights". When? after we file bankruptcy and loose our jobs and pay millions at the pump and food costs and get sick and ccan't afford our presciptions and insurances and get screwed on loans credit cards and mortgages! Where's the protection from the big businesses that are screwing us!

I think its so funny, that you guys try to bring down Obama by any means necessary. Hillary clintons former pastor was just sentenced to jail for child molestation, is anyone talking about that? If I practice catholicism, does that mean I should leave my church because the preist is molesting young boys? Or how about this, if I dont agree with my presidents views on international affairs ie the war in Iraq, should I leave the country? You guys should really look at what you are saying,it sounds like a double standard to me
