The Wolf Pack swimmers outscored Stagg High’s boys and girls divisions Wednesday at the Tracy High pool.
The boys won by the larger margin, 94-37, while the girls were victorious by a score of 90-51.
Anthony Danielson won first place in the boys 200-yard freestyle in a time of two minutes, 28.83 seconds, and the 500-yard freestyle in 6:50.31. Other first-place winners from West were Richard Johannsen, 200 individual medley, 2:41.26; Daniel Pankratz, 50 freestyle, 26.50; Callahan Burnell, 100 butterfly, 1:23.02; Joshua Rhynes, 100 freestyle, 1:01.00; Ryan Johannsen, 100 backstroke, 1:26.93. For the girls, Danielle Daviscourt won both the 50 freestyle, 26.85, and 100 breaststroke 1:16.51; Katie Bertelson won the 200 freestyle, 2:32.30, and 100 butterfly, 1:25.41; and Jennifer Porter won both the 100 freestyle, 1:01.51, and 100 backstroke, 1:11.26. Other first-place winners from West were Kerri Carrick, 200 individual medley, 2:49.24; and Brooke Gard, 500 freestyle, 8:05.13.
The Bulldogs outscored the swimmers from Franklin High on the road Friday in both boys (77-74) and girls (95-63) varsity divisions as well as in girls junior varsity (119-32). For the JV girls, Calla Frankel won both the 50 freestyle, 29.71, and the 100 freestyle, 1:14.04.
The varsity girls kept up the impressive performance, with Whitney McCray winning the 50 freestyle, 29.19, and the 500 freestyle, 6:33.56. Also placing first in their events were Nicole Brown, 100 freestyle, 59.64, and 100 backstroke, 1:10.72; Karina Hernandez, 200 freestyle, 2:39.62; and Lindsey Sharpe, 200 individual medley, 2:26.86.
The boys completed the sweep in a very close matchup. Evan Goad won both the 100 breaststroke, 1:11.68, and the 200 individual medley, 2:34.19. Other first-place swimmers were Tanner Silva, 200 freestyle, 2:28.85; Tyler Black, 50 freestyle, 25.32; and Conner Sharpe, 100 butterfly, 1:16.91.
