Forget the developer bribes and get down to fundraising, a local man suggests.
I am reading again in the Press that the mayor and City Council still want to negotiate with Ellis about building homes in exchange for $20 million to build an aquatics/recreation park.
Hasn’t this been shot down by the voters and the courts? I cannot believe that the mayor and a few council members are trying to keep this alive. They should be spending their valuable time trying to find other avenues to raise the money.
Maybe the folks who are behind the mayor and City Council can help finance this program.
I still see the city as the horse and Ellis dangling the carrot. Let’s get people in city government who won’t be swayed by what seem to be simple bribes. — Brian Wing, Tracy
