Humbly serving the community Print E-mail

The namesake of Tracy's newest high school reflects on Monday's groundbreaking ceremonies.

I had a very humbling experience Monday afternoon at the groundbreaking of the new high school. I was very pleased and honored by the many people who attended, including retired and active teachers, coaches and longtime Tracy friends, and a goodly number of previous patients. I spoke to many, but I wasn’t able to greet everyone, to my regret.

Through the years, I have had a great deal of support from my office staff and my family, for which I have always been grateful.

I want to say how fortunate I have been to have the privilege of serving the community.

• Dr. John C. Kimball, 84, a retired longtime local physician, worked as a team doctor for high school sports teams in Tracy for more than four decades.

I'm so happy to see that you got to see your honor during your lifetime.
