Both Tracy and West high coasted to early-week victories on the links.
Tracy 199, Chavez 244 Tracy High’s golfers shot their best team score of the season at Swenson Park Golf Course against the Chavez Titans. Senior Shane Conner shot a 1-over-par 37 and sophomore Anthony Manguary shot a 2-over 38. Tracy’s scores also included a 40 by Jake Pineo, a 41 by Joey Sefcik, a 43 from Kirk Leopoldo and a 43 from Zack Jackson. Chavez golfers included Eric Tuon, 46; Danley Tep, 47; Patrick Ryan, 48; Tim Cortez, 51; Stanley Tep, 52; and William Tuon, 57. West 218, McNair 260 West’s Brent Lewis shot his low round for the year, a 2-over-par 38, at Tuesday’s match at Tracy Golf & Country Club. West’s scores also included Daniel Ojeda’s 42, Brett Steele’s 45, Chris Hernandez’s 46, Edward Sembrano’s 47 and Dane DeJesus’ 49. McNair’s golfers included Matt Rosman, 43; Michael Flores, 52; Dao Thao, 52; Seth Lawlor, 55; Anthony Do, 58; and Ronnie Lawson; 72.
