Crews are reroofing the Tracy Village Garden apartments south of City Hall, and some complain that downspouts have fallen and other debris creates a hazard.

Richard Ortiz and Dolly Couto look over the section of downspout that fell off a building and crashed onto a walkway at the Village Garden senior housing complex.

Many of the metal downspouts have pulled away from the roof as the complex undergoes re-roofing. A few residents say do not feel safe with the chance that more of the spouts which are pulling away still up.

The roofing company should be ashamed of the image they are leaving behind. Get your act together. clean up your mess and make these apartments safe for our seniors....Shame on you, the contractor and roofing company.

That is very unacceptable to me. My father owns a roofing company here in town and we everything in our own company's power to leave a great impression with our customers, their neighborhoods, and communities. I am outraged that people like the contractors out at this jobsite even have a license [if they are not working under the table] and are even working at all. I apologize to any senior citizen on behalf of our company for a messed up work environment that company has put them in. The management who signed them up for the job should take half of the responsibility for their actions as well. Thanks.

People like them are hurting honest businesses, people like that are tricksters at best, giving the senior citizens and vets short end of the stick. Just outrageous!
