New wooden cross

A wooden cross was erected on the rocky banks of Bethany Reservoir in memory of a Tracy resident. Glenn Moore/Tracy Press This cross was put up recently on the shore at Bethany Reservoir, just west of Tracy, in memory of Tracy's Eric C. Wright. Wright, 32, drowned during a fishing outing with his new aluminum boat on Dec. 23, 2007. His body was found Jan. 10, after days of searching by divers and a boat equipped with sonar to show images of the lake's bottom. The cross marks Wright's service with the U.S. Navy. He is survived by a wife and two young children.
