Too much whistle E-mail

A Tracy resident complains about noisy trains in the pre-dawn hours.


EDITOR,

Are you hearing the ACE train whistle? Lately, it’s been blowing loudly. I understand it’s used for traffic safety, but blowing the whistle up to 10 times at 5 a.m. is ridiculous. I live near the ACE station, and I am considering moving from this area because of this.

Why would you buy a house next to railroad track...you knew what you were getting into..That is like buying a house next to an airport and complaining about the noise...

I totally agree, Jose! I also wondered what the two metal lines on the ground could be. The guy who sold me the house never told me they were called "railroad tracks". Now I find out there's this "train" that goes on top of them and it makes noise sometimes. Go figure!

Wait till the train is routed over to Schulte Road and cuts the town in half as Mayor Brent Ives is advocating. You will hear a lot of people complaining like Jose. Hopefully it will pass right by Captian Obvious's house and shake his false teath out.

What is so ridiculous about a train whistle at 5:am? People are going to work by then. Trains airplanes, and baseball fields. Watch out for those when you move. smilies/grin.gif

I stand corrected. Tod Harold's wise words have made me see the error in my ways. I don't really understand his obsession and references to sticking thinks up his "naughty hole" but it's probably because I'm not as smart as he is.

Here's one think, though: if I gotta do the above-mentioned things to be as smart as Tod, then let me die dumb!

Tod, stupid comeback...oh that really hurt. And I'm not a red neck.

Pay attention when you but a house. You can't exactly move the tracks, what more do you want?
