• Glimmer of hope: Wall Street rallied over a national home sales report that more homes have changed hands in February than in January, even though experts cautioned that the beleaguered real estate market is far from reaching its bottom.

• Bad news/good news: While motorists fume over the skyrocketing cost of gasoline, state officials say the extra sales tax revenue from high prices at the pump is proving to be a boon as California faces an $8 billion dollar deficit.

• Legislature gone to the dogs? A state Assembly “Take Your Dog to Work Day” resolution urges employers to honor canines on June 20 in the same way they set aside a day each year for employees to take their children to their job sites.

13.. the cents profit for a gallon of gas for the Oil Companys....and 60 ,the cents of taxes on each gallon of gas...so whos the thief??? the greedy thieving Govt. of California and the Democrat Feds thats who.
