A woman robbed the Community Banks of Northern California this afternoon.
Melinda Pierce, evidence technician for the Tracy Police Department. Cheri Matthews/Tracy Press A woman robbed the Community Banks of Northern California at 10th Street and Central Avenue this afternoon.
Details are few so far, though officer Ricardo Hernandez said the woman was in her 20s or 30s. The bank notified police of the robbery at about 4:30 p.m., Hernandez said.
It's unclear if the suspect got into a car or walked off after the heist, and Tracy police detective Lt. Ryan Knight declined to reveal how much money she got away with.
Knight and Hernandez said they were unaware of any other bank robberies in the region today.
Lawyer Archie Bakerink, a board member of the bank, huddled with tellers, other bank employees and officers inside the locked down bank as a technician dusted for fingerprints and officers tried to piece together what happened.
But Bakerink said he could say nothing about robbery as he left the bank at about 5:15 p.m.
