There were plenty of individual bright spots for Tracy's swim team, but Lincoln's team was too strong for the Bulldogs.
The Lincoln varsity girls won their part of the meet 120-64, and Lincoln’s junior varsity girls beat Tracy, 111-59. The Lincoln boys team also beat Tracy, 141-45. Tracy coach Justin Patterson said it was a good meet for his team in terms of swimmers whose times will qualify them for the sectional meet later this season. Alyssa Britt’s time of one minute, 3.94 seconds and Lindsey Sharpe’s 1:05.81 in the 100-yard butterfly, first and second place in the meet, qualified them for section. Nicole Brown qualified in the 50-yard freestyle in her second-place finish with a time of 26.55, and she also qualified in the 100 breast stroke with a third-place time of 1:14.55. Britt took second place in the 100 breast stroke with a time of 1:10.74. The varsity 200-yard medley relay team of Brown, Britt, Sharpe and Sierra Woolsey recorded a time of 1:59.99, which was good for a second-place finish against Lincoln. The varsity 200 freestyle relay team took first place with a section qualifying time of 1:48.79. That team is also made of Woolsey, Sharpe, Brown and Britt. First-place swimmers on the junior varsity team included Anna Lowell in the 100 fly with a time of 1:23.43, Daryl Scott in the 100 free with a time of 1:06.66. Top swimmers on the boys teams included Joseph Sanchez, second place in the backstroke with a time of 1:06.34, and Anthony Stirling, fourth place in the 500 freestyle with a time of 7:23.16.
