A local boy qualified last weekend to join the Northern California All-Star gymnastics team. Press staff report
Justin Woo of Justin competes in the Level 9, 12- through 13-year-old age group. His winning score on the pommel horse was 12.65. He also scored a 12.35 on the rings for second place, 13.3 on the parallel bars for second place, 13.425 on the vault for fourth place, and 11.75 on the high bar for fifth place. His all-around score of 76.325 placed him third in his division and qualified him for the Northern California All-Star team, which will compete regionally in April. Justin’s team, West Coast Olympic Gymnastics Academy of Pleasanton, earned the second-place team award.
