Teams tallied wins, losses and upsets in city league play.

The City of Tracy Youth Hoops basketball league moved past the halfway point over the weekend as leading teams in all divisions worked hard to move up in the standings or stay atop them. The action Saturday included some close and exciting games.

Third and fourth grade

Blue Hawks 17, Lakers 14: The Blue Hawks held on in a tight game against the surprising Lakers to remain undefeated and maintain their one-game lead in the division. Mason Sheen led the way for the winners, scoring 12 points. Sam Bidwell scored six points for the Lakers, and Trevor Baker chipped in five.

Blue Hawks 19, Jr. Jammers 8: The Blue Hawks had the doubleheader Saturday and showed strong offense and defense. Sheen once again led the Hawks and put up 11 points, while Pierre Voter scored four and Collin Waddoups added three. The Jammers were led by Maleik Fisher’s five points.

Bulldogs 14, Hurricanes 12: The Bulldogs remained within a game of first place, but it wasn’t easy against the Hurricanes, who threatened to pick up their second win of the season. The Bulldogs had balanced scoring: Chris Cortes scored five points, while both Austin Goulart and Reiden Johnson put three points on the board.

Warriors 11, Mini Devils 9: In another close game, the Warriors fought back after being down at halftime to pull out a win over the Mini Devils. Luis Ayala Jr. led the Warriors’ offense with six points, while the Devils were led by Elijah Hunter’s five points.

Sharks 20, Celtics 3: The Sharks moved above the .500 mark in league play with a dominating win over the Celtics. Mary Fabris fueled the Sharks’ offense with a game-high 13 points. Fatu Talua had two points for the Celtics.

Turtles 14, Bulls 12: Tyler Fratus poured in eight points to lead the Turtles to a win over the Bulls. Steven Taruc led the Bulls with seven points.

Fifth and sixth grade

Kings 26, Grizzlies 22: The undefeated Kings pulled off another win against the Grizzlies with a strong fourth quarter. The two teams entered the final frame tied at 22 points apiece, but the Kings scored four points and held the Grizzlies scoreless to pick up the win. Hessan Sabliny led the Kings with 13 points, while Sabrina Baisch tossed in five and Marcus Silveira added four. Leading the way for the Grizzlies were Alvin Crenshaw with 14 points and Chris Jeffers with four.

Heat 22, Mustangs 8: The Heat remained within a game of the division-leading Kings with a big win over the Mustangs. Daniel Zeratsion scored nine points for the winners, and Isabella Lawrence added four. For the Mustangs, Ali Habal scored six ponits.

Tracy Ballers 17, PB&J 11: The Tracy Ballers picked up their first win of the season due to a 10-point second quarter. Joshua Soto poured in nine points, six in the second quarter, while Cordall Satchell added four for the winners. Sean Broker led PB&J with seven points, and Eric Broker had four.
