A man shoots a suspected thief three times and is released by police. Police barricaded the street after the shooting shortly after 3:30 a.m., and the suspect was taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. I will guarantee 18-year-old Christian Bautista will most certainly reconsider his current night job. Although it is unfortunate that Sean Dunbar was put in this uncomfortable position, he most definitely has the right to protect himself and his. Don’t mistake our kindness for cowardness
While sad but true, if more crimes where handled in this fashion, the 421 calls logged by the Tracy police on Thursday and Friday would be reduced by??? P.S. Frank, you about summed it up.
The liberals will be screaming about this one, but too bad so sad for Bautista. Beginning his life on the wrong foot ... and wounded body! Youths of today have no respect for their neighbors, their property, nor themselves. Job well done Sean Dunbar!!!
YEEEES!!!!!! Sean Dunbar good for you! This is the exact reason we need more gun ownership in Tracy. You steel and we shoot. Too bad the dog wasn't put down for good.
Good Job Sean Dunbar!

Mayor Brent Ives is still under investigation by the Fair Political Practices Commission for his 2002 vote.
may be this little punk will re-think his life and become a asset to his community, nice job taking this punk down with three non life threating shots even though this punk had a gun of his own, I don't think i would have been so generous to let this punk off with just a wounding had he pulled a weapon. nice job again
Now THAT'S the type of good shoot I like to hear about. Good job, Mr. Dunbar, and for the little punk, as my coach used to say, "Consider this God's fastball under the chin."
The next time you think about stealing something, you might get a whole lot of something you weren't expecting. That's the lesson you have learned.
!ve$ continues to support for a
Development Agreement, SECRET BACKROOM DEAL, trounced by the voters, to protect $urland$ from the voters... Nov 02, 2004..MEASURE U..NO....15260....70.46% Nov 07, 2006..BRENT H. IVES....08472....55.00% ...and give $urland$ what the voters would not
Im all for viliganti justice. If not for the fact that the guy was guarding his own property and shot the guy trying to steel from him then the police would have never showed up. We own several guys and I pitty the fool that trys to steal anything from me because they will leave in a body bag that is my promise I work too damn hard for some fool to take what does not belong to him...
Good for Dunbar we need more sharp shooting citizens in Tracy. Maybe this punk and others will think twice before committing crimes. We need to take back our community and I think this is a great way to start. Where do I sign up??
Maybe its one of the thugs that helped supply That motorcycle chop shop that was busted here in Tracy last August. What ever happen with that? But Good shot Sean. I hope he feels the pain of your bullet for many years to come.
Now lets hope the DA will not try to convict Sean of anything. It would be a shame to find out you cannot protect your personal property from punks like Christian Bautista.
So how long before that punk tries to sue Dunbar? Dead men can't sue. But I'm pleased to see some one out there willing to defend their property against these punks. Too many people take the attitude that it's safer to just let criminals take advantage of them. And they're right. It is safer...for the criminals. We really need to make crime a more dangerous business in all cities.
A Transformer was smoking? I wonder which one: Was it Buble Bee or Optimis Prime? Too Freaking Funny!
So the robber had a gun too, Im glad everything turned out ok, could have been a whole different story.... very billy badass of him.
A Transformer was smoking? I wonder which one: Was it Buble Bee or Optimis Prime? Too Freaking Funny! It was bumble bee. Hes the stoner.
Way to go Sean. Maybe we actually can keep those idiots in their own neighborhoods! I am proud to you're neighbor!!
We sleep with a gun at our side every night- I know I have protection!
I hope the criminals don't try to break in my home...but if they do........
As I read this article it says "Bautista’s .38-caliber revolver was lying in the middle of the street " doe sthis mean that Sean had to disarm Bautista? and what an insult, to be shot by your own weapon.
Sean should get one of those warning stikers That state "If you value your life as much as I value my bike don't mess with it" way to go Sean, I hope everything works out justly in our legal process. 12:03 p.m.: A woman reported that her “baby’s daddy,” who she said is a gang member, hit her and pushed her into a bush in north Tracy. "my babys daddy, the gang banger, pushed me in the bushes!" ohhh boy
maybe the police can at least shut down Ilene Freitas granddauthers meth house at 6005 11th.st The people who live there keep dumpping their stripped and stolen cars down the street on Banta Rd. leaveing the towing bills for us tax payers. must be nice to have the public pick up tab to run a chop shop/meth business.
Want to run a meth lab or chop shop! Come to Tracy! That is the message I read. The police are too worried about traffic tickets to worry about meth-labs or chop shops.
I just wish that a story like the one about the bad guy getting what's coming to him would make the front page and not just a blurb in the police blotter. The message that people will not stand by and be taken advantage of needs to get out there so that more criminals think twice about there decisions.
Way to go Sean.
Here is one My Catalitic converter was stolen from my truck on christmas day. what is happening to our town and how can we get these punks.
No the tracy police dony care about shootings or meth labs ,they only care about tinted windows. According to wanna be Officer Moon . you know that little female officer who weighs in at about 95 pounds who hides behind her badge who thinks shes dirty Harry Huh Huh !! watta joke , where do they find these officers , on Craigslist !!
