Three Tracy teams head to Super Bowl.
The Tracy Cougars Novice team will play in the first Super Bowl in the history of the organization against the undefeated Stockton Bengals on Saturday. The Cougars, just five years old, had never even recorded a playoff win until this year, but defeated the crosstown rival Tracy Raiders two weekends ago in the South Delta Conference Championship game en route to their Super Bowl game this weekend. The Cougars went 10-2 this season, avenging an earlier loss to the Raiders in the regular season. “It’s going to be a good game,” Cougars head coach Rob Miller said. “They (Stockton) are a very good team. I think they average 40ish points a game. This is the type of game that’s going to go down to the last possession. I’m excited.”
