Last weekend the Colts — who feature Tracy residents Christopher Galdiano and Matt Corliss — captured the regional title at the Pacific District Regional Silver Stick Tournament, held at the San Jose Sharks’ four-sheet practice facility. The Colts’ 4-1-1 record at the tournament, held over Thanksgiving weekend and featuring teams from Northern and Southern California, earned them a trip to Port Huron, Michigan in late January for the Silver Stick national finals — as well as a trip to HP Pavilion tonight, where they’ll be announced during one of the intermissions. Nine different players contributed 37 points in scoring during the six games. Galdiano, a Tracy High student, potted one goal and added five assists, including three in a 3-2 win over the Santa Clara Blackhawks in the semifinals. Corliss added a goal in the championship game, a 3-1 win over the Oakland Bears. The Colts are the top-ranked Bantam team in Northern California, with a 12-2-2 record to their credit.
