Bohn Elementary will gather and recycle electronic waste to raise money for a new playground. Bohn Elementary has teamed up with Electronic Recyclers, a Fresno-based company. The school hopes to raise a total of $1,200 in this fundraiser; it needs a total of $100,000 for the playground.
Supporters have so far raised $5,000.
Anything electronic can be dropped off for recycling. Things with tubes, such as monitors and TVs, are worth the most. It costs nothing to drop off an item to be recycled. “We’re trying to do more environmentally friendly and healthy fundraisers,” she said.
