Woman injured, man arrested, after hit-and-run.
Someone at Musashi restaurant, 2203 N. Tracy Blvd., reported a fight involving about 15 people at 1 a.m. Sunday, with a young woman hit by a car in the parking lot. They were all gone when police arrived, but officers learned that the woman went to the hospital. Police found the woman and got a description of the car, then went to the Chesapeake Bay Apartments on Lowell Avenue to look for the car’s owner. There, police arrested Moises Shane Flores, 31, on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and took him to county jail. Tracy police logged 344 calls on Saturday and Sunday, including the following reports: Saturday 12:22 a.m.: Police went to the 100 block of West Beverly Place for a report of a loud party with underage drinking. Police arrived and arrested a 19-year-old man on a warrant and cited another person. 1:26 a.m.: Two men got in a fight behind Ralph’s Club, 444 E. 11th St. When police arrived, the people on the scene said the men were just arguing. 6:35 a.m.: Someone reported a possible fire in a vacant house on the 200 block of Berverdor Avenue. 8:17 a.m.: Someone tried to steal the power tools from a home renovation project on the 100 block of Ramona Way. The caller said the thieves dropped everything when they saw the painter drive up. All of the tools were left in the front yard. 8:38 a.m.: A man reportedly walked into a business on the 800 block of West 11th Street, grabbed a lock box and ran out the back door. The business manager said the box contained important papers but didn’t specify what they were. 9:08 a.m.: A dog on the 800 block of West Clover Road had a swollen eye and a limp. A neighbor said the dog’s injuries might have something to do with a fight in the neighborhood earlier that morning. An animal control officer picked up the dog. 11:57 a.m.: Police went to a restaurant on the 1200 block of West 11th Street after a man who dropped by to apply for a job refused to leave. Officers told the man that he was trespassing. 12:15 a.m.: A person reported an injury crash at Fieldview Drive and Corral Hollow Road. 1:01 p.m.: A 10-year-old bicycle rider had an injured ankle after being hit by a car at Third and C streets. 2:28 p.m.: A Tracy Fire Department crew responded to an electrical fire on the 3400 block of North Tracy Boulevard and advised the Tracy police that two homeless people might be responsible. 5:40 p.m.: A person on the 1900 block of Clearbrook Court called police because someone used trash cans as roadblocks so that children could play in the street. 5:50 p.m.: A hospital reported that a stab victim said he was attacked while he slept in a park in Tracy. The man, who police found was on probation for drug possession, would not talk to officers. 6 p.m.: A person on the 1800 block of Bayberry Lane told police that someone might be staying at an abandoned house in the neighborhood. The caller said the home’s swimming pool was half-filled with black water, and money stained with red dye was scattered around. 6:27 p.m.: Someone reported a car crash at Valpico Road and Elissagaray Drive. No injuries were reported, but both cars, a Cadillac and a Chrysler, had to be towed away. 7:10 p.m.: A dog dug under a fence on the 2900 block of Remington Way and attacked the neighbor’s dog. 7:43 p.m.: Someone reported a fight at Portuguese Hall, 430 W. Ninth St., during a birthday party. One person was cited and released. 8:04 p.m.: Someone broke into a house on the 100 block of Arezzo Way. 9:44 p.m.: Three carloads of teens arrived at a vacant house on the 2900 block of Rugby Court. The caller recognized some of the teens as the former residents, who had moved out after the house went into foreclosure. 9:57 p.m.: A woman on the 1900 block of East Street called police after she arrived home to find her husband naked on the couch with another woman’s underwear. Sunday 12:22 a.m.: Someone threw a rock through a window on the 500 block of Tennis Lane. The caller said nobody was hurt, and the vandal drove off in an unknown type of car. 12:41 p.m.: A youth on the 2300 block of East Street called the police and said, “Send the police! Shots fired; shots fired!” and promptly hung up. Officers arrived and talked to people who didn’t hear any shots fired but said they did see two kids run away from a nearby pay phone. 2:16 a.m.: A person on the 500 block of General Lane reported some suspicious-looking people in a black Dodge Neon parked on the street. The caller said someone had just shot out the windows of a family member’s car but didn’t know if the people in the Dodge were responsible. Police made a traffic stop on the Dodge and gave the people a warning. 8:07 a.m.: Someone broke into a truck on the 300 block of Mt. Oso Avenue sometime during the night. 8:33 a.m.: BB gun vandals struck again on the 3300 block of James Anthony Drive. The caller said his truck and several of his neighbors’ cars were hit. 9:55 a.m.: A person reported that a 2-year-old girl had a mark on her leg from some type of injury. The caller said the girl’s mother admitted the she hit the girl with a belt because she would not stop crying. 10:54 a.m.: Vandals threw rocks through a window of a model home on Mabel Josephine Drive. 11:04 a.m.: Thieves broke into a car on the 2400 block of Carol Ann Drive and stole a radio. 12:41 a.m.: An officer stopped at El Pescadero Park after some youths flagged him down and said they were just robbed by gang members. Police searched the area and detained one person, who the victim said was not the robber. Police also noted that a woman chased someone who might have been involved behind nearby businesses, but no arrests were made. 3:41 p.m.: A woman called police to report that a man tried to kick in the door of her apartment on Grant Line Road just east of Holly Drive and then tried to climb in through a window. She said the man left in a brown car before police arrived. 4:38 p.m.: A person reported that a man panhandling at the shopping center on the 1800 block of West 11th Street looked like he had just bought some drugs from some teenagers. Police found that the man had a warrant, gave him a citation and released him. 4:56 p.m.: A woman on the 1100 block of Montgomery Lane told police that her neighbor allows his children to throw fireworks and that he had cursed at and threatened her when she tried to talk to him about it. 5:54 p.m.: A man on the 1700 block of Horse Shoe Loop reported that someone had cut down two trees in his yard while he was on vacation. He thinks the tree-chopper was his neighbor. 5:57 p.m.: Someone on the 200 block of West Grant Line Road reported that a man appeared to be selling cigarettes or drugs to kids at the skate park in El Pescadero Park. 7:55 p.m.: Someone on the 2000 block of Tahoe Drive reported that a group of kids had just set off some type of explosive in Mt.
