UC Berkeley manages the lab. Its a huge waste of taxpayer money. If the death worshipers at Livermore keep up their lobbying and supporting the nuclear arms race, Russia or some other rogue state will take out Livermore someday. I am sure it would be a prized strategic target. Hope that makes all you locals out there more comfortable.
