Thanks Dave-

I have brought my kids to our Tracy park, and it was slippery and hot, and very simple. We have played at the parks in Redwood City, Sunnyvale, San Jose, and San Carlos. Those set up my expectations for our Tracy water feature and I was sorely disappointed. For a climate area that invites water play, it was a "drop in the bucket". I would hope that the planning of future water features evolves to much more fun! - WOW

You all know that we have a water ride right here in town don't you?

It's called Tracy Wash & Lube on Tracy Bl next to Kelly Moore paints. Just sit in your car with windows down. Of course, like all amusement rides, hands and feet inside the car at all times.

BTW....it's more fun in a convertible. :D - fortheunderdog

MMMM... had a nice thought, "spray misters" around the bike trail? Walking trail around the Wetlands? For hot days?

Yes, reclamation water needs to be certified as safe for public usage and enjoyment.

wow

Actually I like the one that's downtown San Jose and the one over in LosGatos.

We looked at those but since there is a recycled water element to consider, and knowing such an enterprize would be a lot more expensive to operate and maintain correctly to keep people from getting sick, and the fact when this park was built these ammenities were a rather new technology, we decided this would be a better way to go.

But yes, the fountains of shooting water are very nice and the kids, along with grandfathers like me, do enjoy them.

Hopefully the commission and Counsel will continue to develop such things but there are cost factor and public health things to consider as well.

Have to say though that the water feature at the park at Mountain House soooooooo much better! This is a good start, but there should be something made more like that one. Super fun! - WOW

I am kidding, Dave.

It's just I can't go outside with friends everyday since it's hard to get in touch with a large group and that's how me and my friends like to hang out.

Sorry to scare you

GTkitkats

You're kidding right? Hope so. Kids outside together having fun and getting excercise is a good idea, no?

And the ability to turn off the A/C and still cool down helps lower the electric bill as well, no?

But I think you are kidding, at least I hope you are.

Pretty good use of a detention basin don't you think? Would have made a good location for a pool but they didn't have the money when the park was built. But $20 million would have certainly been enough back then.

Think about it. :)

:D Probably will happen after so many lawsuits against the city, heck Tracyites might end up having a neighborhood "hose down" parties...

So much yo-yos in politics!

Soooooo this is the new water park promised by AKT/Surland/Souza. :D I tell you, $20 million sure doesn't go very far in today's market. - fortheunderdog

But the City of Tracy has done nothing for our children. Right?

That's a bit of sarcasm.

Once again Glenn, good photos. I really enjoyed seeing them. Regards.
