<description>Hey, that is great!! TRN.... Maybe this fall the schools will send flyers to parents letting them know they take bottles? Plastic bottles of all size.

I forgot to mention was recycling since I was in &quot;cotton&quot; diapers!
Glad you saw humor in it! ;)
Just hated seeing diapers filling up the landfill!!!

<description>I give the bottles to my neighbor. She gives them to a school. The school cashes it all in and all of the proceeds go to the school. Great way to recycle if someone goes to a school has that type of program!

<description>Yep, she is a dedicated recyler, been doing it since I was in diapers!

My parents are avid recylers, they taught me not to be wasteful, careful about purchases and how the meat was packed. I go to butcher at the meat market and ask them to wrap my meat so I won't have to touch those styrofoams!

Huge box of cereal and you open the bag, lot smaller than the box, right? You end up paying more for advertisement (box) than what the food is worth!

Just a thought, if there were no credit cards in USA and the illusion of wealth(not paid-credit, loans, so on). How much wider apart would be the class system? More poor than the middle class? or what? Credit card, master deception of reality!

Yep, recycling is important! Sorry for change of thought! Just thinking I hope I don't see large number of homeless rummaging through trash!

<description>There's a woman who comes by and roots through our apartment's garbage cans. I make sure to bring her my recyclables and a bottle of cold water. She's years ahead of Tracy's position. - ChallyGon</description>

<description>That is why I am all for organic! Wicker/rattan furnitures instead of plastics!

I also ask at Fast Food places for cup of water and lot of times they are free and some charge 25 cents but it is heck lot cheaper and healthier than what you drink from hot bottle of water!!!
Thanks!

<description>Lot of things oil company would not tell you! Plastic furnitures? It absorbs through your skin, painted childrens plastic furniture or playground furnitures from China, some contains lead.. how about total honesty!

<description>Also, is it true that plastic is made from petroleum (one of the ingredients)?

Best plan is to recycle. Better than putting into a landfill?

			<description>
May be better to be safe and recycle it anyway?

Just in case. That's what I do too.

			<description>amy,

I heard there was an email spoof going around that Sheryl Crow got breast cancer from drinking water from a plastic water bottle. But, have to be careful with these things. It could be true, and if it is the FDA should print warning labels on the bottles so that we are aware of this potential problem. I understand there are different kinds of plastics. Some break begin to chemically break down with heat. Recall that some are Microwavable Safe. Others are not. Also, recall being told at the pet store not to put fish into certain plastic containers. Perhaps, the plastic industry should probably do a better job at being more &quot;transparent&quot; here. No pun intended.
;)

<description>So glad to see this program taking place!!! Tracy sure is going the right direction! Going Green! Give credit to those who MADE IT HAPPEN! Keep this plan going! This is so great!!!

Warning, do not drink out of the bottle of water, or soda left in the car on hot days since the chemicals from the bottle gets leached into the water. Not good chemicals. Don't allow any liquid to get hot, or leave the bottle in the car, keep it in a cooler. Thanks.

<description>I saw the new blue soda can shaped recycling containers. They look nice in the park on July 4th. Probably keep the park a little cleaner having them around too. Can't wait to see them in the Dry Bean Festival too. Imagine tons of plastic and other recyclable containers that won't have to go into a landfill. All that plastic in the Press photo above could be turned into a park bench at one of our Tracy, CA Parks!

Like it!
