This was the worst event ever! Why even advertise that it's an "Art" Festival, when it's truly a "Crap" Festival. This was equal to a flea market or garage sale. Why can't we see some real artists at an event hyped as such? Why do the local Chamber and DTBIA think this is good for our area? It just makes the people of Tracy look like a bunch of ignorant hicks... - traveller

I think it should have been run in conjunction with the Wine Stroll. These events would have been great together. Wine stroll friday night and Art and Wine on Saturday and Sunday!!! - A little irritated

I went on Saturday and was quite disappointed. I really support functions like this but was unimpressed with the lack of interesting/cool venders. Here's an idea. Run this event in conjunction with the Farmers Market. The market could benefit from the music etc and the produce and its clients would fill in the many sad voids. At least it's a start, try again Tracy!! - Mike D

A real mother would enjoy the show on Mothers Day, Because I AM a REAL mom I didn't have time to stop by and enjoy the event. I'm busy taking care of my children. Having had other plans that I had to work my work schedule around that I had in place long before hearing word of this festival, I had prior obligations and was not able to make it to the event after working. I have a mother also who deserves to be honored. Mother's day isn't just about me. And for the record I am definately NOT a Raider fan. I still stand by what I said...the event was not timed well. But, I will be attending the wine stroll, so I guess that makes up for it. - A little irritated

I did not know this was going on. I would have gone. Seemed more artsy than what we get during the bean festival. Would prefer more arts and crafts and less realtors; Less advertisers during the bean festival too. Hope to see this again.

My husband and I strolled through early Saturday and was impressed by the type of vendors and amount of vendors the organizers brought in. Kudos! It was a heck of a lot better than the vendors brought in for last years Bean Festival, and I hope this means organizers are getting better at picking vendors, or vendors are choosing Tracy as a festival destination. I am also hoping that having it next to the market helped get more residents out there, because advertising on this issue was poor. I subscribe to 3 local newspapers (Record, Herald, TP) and read this page and not much was out there letting residents know about the festival, which is too bad. - ostapiej

Not enough advertising for the event. Needs more exposure and event timing, when the performances are, etc... - Nancy Holtzclaw

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL!!!!

I just went after work! Had a glass of wine and enjoyed. Went to work both days, but you don't see me complaining. And what more could a mother ask for on Mother's Day? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaneeeey!

Taking a stroll! Enjoy the art! Enjoy some wine!

Perhaps you are one of those Oakland Raider Moms???

In that case, after work, sloth on over to the frankfurter pit and have some cheap beer to wash it down. :P - A real mother would enjoy the show on Mothers Day

Headline read 6,000+ at childrens fair at the hospital. That coupled with the fact that it's mother's day weekend seems to account for low attendance. Perhaps next year a little more planning will go into this - fairgoer

I think this festival was not timed well. This is mother's day weekend and while some mom's were able to attend the event there were other's who had to work during the event and more still who had to work on Mother's day because of the event. In the future the organizers may want to take a look at their calendars and realize that as moms we deserve a day off from our duties and shouldn't have to put in EXTRA time because of an event like this. Too bad some of us didn't get to enjoy the art and the wine. - A little irritated

???

Maybe there is enough interest next year, then Sandberg can vote on spending more of Tracy's tax dollars in five years or so???
