If you're genuinely concerned about the Social Security issue, maybe you should ask questions like "why is it that foriegn residents, some who never really worked a legal day in their life in this country, can collect social security". Better yet, ask the Democrats in office (especially in California) why they never do anything to stop it. Stop blaming the President for every little thing that goes wrong. Is it his fault you have a dirty diaper too? The social security system wasn't designed to be used the way it is today. Maybe if people learned why and how it was created, they will understand why it doesn't work to their advantage. - Ubbo Coty

Rick Sanders it aint going to happen. Politics is about power and not doing the right thing( occasionally people like to APPEAR to do the right thing to appease the public) . They have known the system will collapse for years, Medicare has been given eight years, and they have done nothing. Like the used to say," So goes California, so goes the United States." - scott hurban

Fortunately, Congress adopted the alternate, plan 'B' in its place. Do nothing.

Complete meltdown to be achieved by 2040.

though if you are not currently retired...
you can experience plan B now in the form of Social Security deductions to what end?
