"Ronnie" would raise taxes!
As he did during his first term in office (inorder to cover a hudge deficit budget) as Governor of California.
Remember...? ;D - k.l.vosburg

Tsgt. Coty/Mr. Coty
Oh...? I don't recall hearing too many Bush aids complaing when Chenney's 'Ol Alma mater, Haleburton, moved it's headquarters to Dubai.
Apparently there's enough leveraging to move a Western venture capitalist group into the Saudi hinterland for decades unknown?
I thought the Panama Canal was run by an oversight committee subject to it's own souvergnity.
And who doesn't "experiment with capitalism for monetary gains?"
Remember, the commentator needs fear, scapegoats and projected demoralization of his subjects to influence his extrapolated edicts -substaniated by so-called historical events.
That's why Paddy's personna as an archiac isolationist (going all the way back to the Goldwater era) hits a nerve for some while confirming his disquise as an embalming over-qualified, guard-of-the sarcophagui (Republican), for others.

The Dude is somewhat antiquated yet interesting from afar, and hopefully it generates thought and courteious debates.

Ahh..the road.
It must be nice...? - k.l.vosburg

Mr Vosburg; the Soviets should have never been trusted to begin with, in my opinion. My theory is that they experimented with capitalism for monetary gains.
China is simply doing what its Chairman Mao set out to accomplish, and that is to dominate the world. They already control the Panama Canal, their flag flies down at the naval yard near San Diego that they have a long term lease with, and look how they already dominate the market. How products do you use every day that are made over in China? How many times did China try to buy American (OUR) oil companies? Isn't that sign alone a good enough signal of their intentions?
Maybe Mr Pat Buchanan should focus his concern on making our nation strong instead of insulting it every chance he gets.
As for the current war and its ramifications, you know i am more or less hand tied on that on, but history will rpevail in the long run, maybe not in our lifetime, but when future generations sit back and arm-chair quarterback what has and is currently happening, they will see were it all started to slide down hill. I think that happened AFTER President Reagan left office. Thats my opinion. And I think that if we don't get a Commander in Chief who is strong and continues to go after terrorists and those countries that harbor them, we will suffer even more. - Ubbo Coty

Weather Warfare: Beware the US military’s experiments with climatic warfare
‘Climatic warfare’ has been excluded from the agenda on climate change.

I am not sure how much longer we will not have a full blown war, signs were similar from my studies of great depression and the incidents following up to the great depression....

also with all the satellites in the sky, after reading this, it does not abode well:

After Kosivo and the breaking-up of the Balkans' - again we were supposed to be at odds with Russia - what happened to that W.W.III scenario?

Communist China has for years been providing cancer with their "cup-o-noddles" (MSG) and now toxic toys and poisonous pet food. :) Yet we continue to trade goods with a country which 50 years ago -we were at war with?

Rogue countries (N. Korea and Iran) will always stirr militarism furor and since Darby's Dispensationalism is always right around the corner; W.W.III looms in the dark corners of the "fear-factor" spin-meisters. - k.l.vosburg

we don't have to worry about Iran when, we have ISREAL. They don't have our wishywashy idiots in power. Isreal doesn't care about political correctness or being embarassed for torturing tangos. Like the saying is 'Just Do It' and end Irans nukes. - xempyFromSmog

Ubbo strikes the nail on its head in presuming a simple bicameralism. Politics are anything but a contest between two opposing ideologies. Pat is part of paleoconservatism, which means that he is isolationist at core, somewhat like GW Bush during his 2000 run: "I won't engage in nation building." How the worm turns. - Mark Davis

I thought WWIII was the cold war? Does it matter, really? Whose side is Pat on anyway? He is sounding more and more like a left wing liberal every year. - Ubbo Coty

W.W.III is/has been on hold since W.W.II.
There's the berlin Airlift.
Korea'
Cuban Missle Conflict/Vietnam;
Desert Storm,
Iraq War.
And the "left-wing" media.
Ending from "the greatest generation" to the "baby boomers" of the late '1940's and '50's,
Stalin/Mao never need fire ONE ROUND.
All they need is "yellow journalism" and "the drive-by media." - k.l.vosburg
