Tracy Press

As I read the article about a new skate park I realized that Jonathan Wiltz was breaking the law. There is a sign at the skate park that reads in part that BICYCLES ARE PROHIBITED. Bicycles are a problem at the skate park. My son has been injured from them more that once. Jennifer Wadsworth of the Tracy Press should have known this if she did her research. The Tracy police should patrol this park more often and cite the kids on bicycles.

So where is the BMX park then?

Because there isn't a BMX park doesn't mean they get to break the rules and ride at the skate park.

my questions are to bring up a valid point:
Where can the Kids/Teens/Adults go to use their Scooters and Bikes? They have no where. Hummmm maybe Tracy should take this into consideration when planning a new skate park....wich Tracy badly needs.

What Motown said is still true though. It doesn't really matter if the bikers have a spot to go or not. What matters is that bikes are prohibited from the Tracy skatepark.

Also, in case someone decides to bring this into play, it is not discrimination either. Bikes are a serious 'threat' to skateboarders in a park, especially one the size of Tracy's. Their bikes are harder to avoid. That's not to say that skateboards aren't hard to avoid either. It's just a matter of purpose. If the skatepark was even a quarter size larger, bikes wouldn't be nearly a threat.

I could be wrong, but doesn't Carnegie have some BMX areas as well?
