If all the employers would follow the law in regards to hiring and verifying elgibility to work in USA they possible would guit streaming in.

There is procedures when processing new hires. Social Security numbers can be checked to see if valid. I have worked for two employers where the rules were not followed. In the first one the person would not allow me to copy D/L in the second Social Security reported that the number did not belong to that person. Requested new copy of social security card and checked that one, it was no good. Told supervisors and was told that it was not our place to monitor. This is why we have illigals working in this country. NO ONE CARES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

It may not be an employer's place to monitor those things but isn't it illegal for employers to knowingly employ illegals? So then if they do not verify they do not know. Sounds like a convenient lack of knowledge to me. Verifying the accuracy of a person's social Security number is their protection against employing illegals.
Maybe it is time employers paid a high fine every time they employed illegals whether they know it or not. If that happened you can bet they would verify a person’s right to work in this country before employing them.

When an employer is given copies of social security numbers by the same person it is his responsibility to take action. When a person refuses to give information required on I-9 they shouldn't be hired.

Employers aren't required to verify any of the info, only responsibility is to properly do the I-9 form.
Then do you know who verifies the I-9 info? NO ONE.
