Anyone know where I can get a custom made birthday cake that is good? I know the local grocery stores have them but I'm looking for something else. Anyway one know someone? Or anyone know of a bakery?<br><br>Post edited by: msperla, at: 2007/06/10 03:20

The downtown bakery on 10th street (formerly AJ's Bagels) makes good cakes, and they're a small operation.

Downtown Bakery is a good option as well as Kandi's. I would assume Kandi makes cakes as well. Her pastries are to die for and one of the reasons I saunter over to the Farmers Market every Saturday morning. Downtown Bakery is also at the Farmer's Market.

We used the Downtown Bakery for our twin daughters 3rd birthday party. We had them create a tinkerbell cake from the invitations, and it was spectacular!!! We use to go to a baker in Livermore (who was really good) but we decided this year to use a local bakery and we were not disappointed.
