The TP added this forum, so i figured i might as well put it to use....

Regarding the "Opinion" section: is it feasible to move the previous days "Opinion" section to the forum the next day? Many times a great conversation/debate is generated from the opinion pieces only to be forgotten after a couple of days. I suspect that many people would like to continue the conversation, but do not like to search through the archives looking for it.

Maybe a fix to this would be to add a "My Threads" or "My Previous Post's" feature. This way, a registered member can easily track down a message thread they have commented on.

thanks in advance TP and SolutionsIC.

Here here--I second that. Many times there has been some great dialog. Not to mention the name calling which is always fun to read. Maybe TP could take the opines with the most posts and move them over.
Just a thought.

I'm hearin' it, but I'm not quite sure of a solution yet. The best I can do *for now* is copy-paste opinion pieces onto the forun to add a new thread. This is something anyone can do.

Hopefully Nick has a better answer!

Unfortunately the functionality requested isn't really possible at the moment. Off the top of my head I can think of a few solutions, however all of them are incredibly manual. Thus they aren't very feasible as a long term solution.

I'll investigate this further.

Are you kidding me? Why don't you put in a request to the creative staff/engineers that built the back end for the TP forums and comment section to make some improvements....

Have the comments after the article automatically mirror into the forums area. The article headline, will then become the title of the forum post.... (create a section within the forum categories for digital photos' ... photo's in minutes!

One more thing while your requesting some changes... can they please move the forum lists so it is seen on the page with out having to scroll down to look for it and sign in on the side bar..... Your loosing people ... cuz they can't find it.

Post edited by: eieio, at: 2007/06/12 12:09

eieio...not sure if you intended the "are you kidding me" remark to sound rude, but you really come off as such. remember the saying "you catch more bees with honey than you do with vinegar"?

as for scrolling down to find the forum, i only experience that when i use internet explorer. at home i use firefox and everything looks fine. granted, 97% of people use internet explorer.
