I said I would start commenting on where these signs are. I am seeing results and I know I am getting results. You can move on if you'd like. You are free to do so. BTW, I didn't give her the negative karma. It was already there by the time I read it.
Appreciate your comment.

To many A-Frames up and down 11th St. and N. Tracy Blvd. The garage sale signs are getting a jump on it as I see new ones popping up for the weekend. Code Enforcement does not have the man/woman power to handle these offenders.
I hardly see the grocery cart problem anymore.

When I left town last week there were so many raggedy signs. People have been complaing lately about it in the Tracy Press. I brought this up months ago because I knew the sign thing would hit and a lot of people would be upset over it. This is nothing new. If you want the signs down you need to complain to council members at a meeting. Get more code enforcement.
3 articles about this in the last three weeks and the signs will only get worse as it does every year.

I saw a sign that beat all signs today. A garage sale sign on a saw horse, like the one my Dad used. It was comical. A tiny piece of paper on this great big saw horse. Old and useless it looked to me. Of course the usual raggedy, windblown signs, that are to flimsy to read the addresses, new on top of old now.

I never thought there would be so many people checking this sight out. My intentions for this is to bring an awareness that our City needs help, just as the fire and police.
If you are a city employee reading this, you have my upmost respect for what you do, all depts. People bash you all the time and this is not my intent here.
I have read the Tracy Press forever and the citizens complain there are not enough to go around. I read there was a hiring freeze, I can imagine the future.

There are many different rules for signs. People can interpret them differently. Call to find out what kind of ordinance you need to follow. Free standing signs need permits for instance.
10.08.4560 Signs placing citizens in immediate peril or signs in public rights-of-way and/or easements.
The Building Official or his designee shall immediately cause the removal of any sign which, in the judgment of either the Community Development Director or his designee or the Chief Building Official or his designee, is found to be within the public right-of-way and/or easements or found to place citizens in immediate peril by any or a combination of the following methods, using sound judgment under the circumstances:
(a) The removal or modification of such sign by City staff with the business owner to be billed for time and materials;
(b) Notification orally or in writing to the business owner causing the removal of such sign within a twenty-four (24) hour period or a lesser period of time, as prescribed by the Chief Building Official or his designee; or
(c) The immediate citation of the business owner or party responsible for such sign. (Prior code § 10-2.3513)
