But thanks for proving my point. I say motorcyclists have little regard for human life, and you and 5150 threaten me with a violent death. D'oh.

Post edited by: b0b, at: 2007/07/30 19:12

Thanks to all for answering my question. I didn't mean to start a fight on the playground. I haven't lived in California long and I have never seen the lane sharing before in other states, so I was just asking. It is frightening knowing that they can sneak up without me knowing it.

If you crash into him because you couldn't see him, it is probably his fault, and he is the one who dies. Make sure your "underinsured motorist" coverage is high, because most of the losers on motorcycles just carry the minimum (not an issue if the dead motorcyclist is a cop, since the government can afford to pay for your damage).
Just looking around at all the losers riding motorcycles around this town, I can't help but think that the world would be better off without them.
wow bob,

What am I jealous of, Chief? The 4,000 people who committed suicide on motorbikes last year? That must be it. After all, as 5150 pointed out (in an amusing and witty post that you could learn from), I have a total disregard for my own safety. You see, I really want to commit suicide, but I just don't have the cojones to do it myself on a motorbike.

Post edited by: b0b, at: 2007/07/30 19:41

I am the President of a Motorcycle Club, I have been the President for 6 out of 8 years. I have been riding motorcycles for 20 continuouse years.
Our club promotes Safety,Family involvement,Respect for other riders. We meet every Tuesday night and while in session there is no foul language, or smoking. We don't allow drug use or unsafe driving.
We never stop at bars while on a ride and we associate with lots of clubs just like ours. We belong to American Motorcycle Association who has strict guidlines as to insure safe operation of motorcycles.
You call motorcycleists losers but how can this be?
Motorcyclists gete up to 45+ miles to the gallon, you can put up to 4 bikes in one parking stall in a busy parking lot, they take up less room on the road, and create less smog, now compare this to your HUMMER, F250, MOTOR HOME, or any other SUV, or recreational vehicle out there. Now you tell me who the losers are.
I commute to work everyday on my motorcycle and I spend 10 dollars a week on gas, how much do you spend LOSER. You probably spend 100 dollars a week to commute, and create much more smog and traffic congestion. I agree there are some riders out there that give Motorcycling a bad rap such as the ones who split lanes at 80+ mph but watch how you classify the rest. I bet if you said what you drive we could certainly put you in a catagory not very becoming. Just by the ignorant letter I am responding too puts you in a not so good catagory already. I dary you to go to your doctor and give him your viewpoint on motorcyclists being losers because most riders are doctors, Lawyers, congressman and women. My final comment is this you are the Loser and you are just trying to make people look worse than yourself, good luck.

Post edited by: crazybill2000, at: 2007/07/31 04:25

Nice try, Crazy Bill. Everyone on my block with a bike also has an F250, a HUMMER, a MOTOR HOME and an SUV. Well, not all of them have all five things, but most of them have three or four of those. So are you saying all those bikers are losers because they all own big trucks, too? Man, you are pretty harsh. You and I would probably agree that commuting in a Hummer 70 miles each way, each day is dumb.
I don't know anyone who commutes to work in a MOTOR HOME. But I'd agree with you there too; that would be sort of weird.
