I am part of the solution. I'm making people aware of it. What is STARS?

I was out and about yesterday and saw this vehicle parked on the road with two flat tires so I called city hall. They directed me to the police and they said they would tow it if that is what they find. I told them the address it was in front of and the description of the vehicle. It's gone as of today. It was parked in front of the driveway too so I suspect it belonged to the people that lived there. Thank you Tracy Police Dept. for getting to that so quickly. BTW, It was not in my neighborhood.

I saw 2 YARD SALE A-Frame signs on two corners when I was going to my friends house. One in the street and one blocking the handicap access. I counted 5 signs on the way back home, taking a different route home. There was 5 more signs. I drove to Sequoia and saw this puny little sale. There were 9 signs in all. Most of the city workers were off so no one to complain to. I decided not to post the address because they didn't put that on the signs. But it was some where the the 800 block of Sequoia. I am heading out again today and will check to see if the ugly signs are still there.

It is sad that all you have to with your life is checkout the yard sale signs accross town. Did you ever stop and think these people are doing everything they can to make money! Maybe they are out of work or saving their home. Yes they should take them down when they are done but who are you to judge people. Get over and find better things to talk about! Like supporting the walkers next weekend at the relay for life! THat is a great thing and I hope there will be a ton of support out there for that so maybe you should try and talk about supportive things this town is doing!

Signs ugly up the town. I had an idea to to put it here on this forum and it gets a lot of hits. You have no idea how badly Tracy needs help with so much more blight, which everybody complains about.

Thank you for your honest comment.

Sorry, have to agree with concernedaa.

The main word here is triage (to sort). Yes, there are a lot of signs around town and many are an eyesore. But with the foreclosure increase, economy problems, crime increase, high gas prices, and the unhappiness with our current government, I have to say this is a very, VERY low priority. You say you get a lot of hits on here, but where is everyone jumping on your bandwagon. Where are the positive responses? I see you making a lot of comments, but very little feedback, especially positive feedback.

Bringing it out in the open was a good thing but, hate to tell you, it is time to move on.
