I am hoping to be able to do something about the situation today. I am not able to get around well and short of walking to his house (which I am unable to do) I have no way to contact her. He had planned last week to come by today with school being out so I am hoping for a one on one chat with him. Maybe I can wake him up. My husband feels that given there is still a couple of months before prom the situation may defuse itself. He could be right. He is usually a pretty good judge of people. Good luck with that, and I agree with maybe as well...get the word to the mom ASAP. If she gets angry, you've done your best and your heart was in the right place...

Let me get this strait. A 17 year old boy wants to take a 46 year old &quot;woman&quot; to the prom? What is wrong with this picture?

Everything! He would be better off going stag.

Still working on solving this one. I am just about frustrated enough to just flat out report it but right now it would be our word against theirs.
I haven't been able to get in touch with the mom yet.

Why don't you call the school and let them know whats going on. I can't believe they would approve something like this!!

I've reread this Kathy and since the boys Mom approves and the school approves there is only one thing left to do. He is under age but will he be when the prom comes. If not, call Child Protective Services.
