Thirdeley, I stated what I would like to see. No orders to break your Ten Commandments. "I'd much rather see" No orders or call to arms. I am in favor of signs and not nearly as offened as you and yours. Respect your perspective and misguided intensity, but most folk get a pay check cause other folk are selling and marketing. I think local business folk should have the right and advantages of branding their names and identifying their wares within reason (that I don't have ten pages or much more consciousness to get into--nor much desire.)

Go to City of Tracy and under the municipal codes you will find a lot of laws. At least look, It can be confusing.

SSDD. Grantline and Tracy Blvd, to 205 freeway and Grantline itself with the A-frames, Also UPS has a sign, a huge one by the Savemart on S. Tracy Blvd. Whats with you guys? Take them down. Read the ordinances. You are in the wrong. And the weather is getting nice so here comes the garage sale signs and wouldn't it be nice to take a walk to the store get a couple bags of food and take the cart off the premises because you ended up with 6 bags instead, You know you are stealing it. I also have seen homeless with their belongings in grocery carts.

My comment about downtown was that it is LEGALLY EXEMPTED. The city council agreed to allow people in a specific area, including the roasted bean location, to put out signs as long as there's sidewalk clearance.

The decision was probably due to a councilwoman HAVING a sign out on the sidewalk - but that's besides the point.

So go ahead Bean. You won't be fined.

At least, not on 10th street.
