Tracy Press, lets get some real reporting of the news. Were feed up with having our windows shot out and the cops do nothing about it. We want a response from the Tracy Police department. I don't want to hear the same BS they told me on the phone when I called to try and report my window being shot out. Al I got was "Sir, we are very busy today, there has been a lot of vandalism in the past two days and we are back logged on responding to take reports. We will try to get to you as soon as we can but there is no guarantee when we will be able to get out there."
Thats bull!!! PROTECT US!!!!!!

How do you want them to protect your windows? I would think they are doing everything they can with what little(I'm assuming) information they have. I am sure they would like to find them just as much as you would like them to find them.

This time it is windows. What will they do when there is someone sitting in front of the window? This sort of thing may seem low priority but what if it is a sign of worse to come? I'm certain that must be how those whose windows were shot feel. This sort of response is what causes people to begin taling matters into their own hands. A barb rather than a boquet to the Tracy PD on this one.

Post edited by: Kathy, at: 2007/09/25 22:25

what does taking an officer off of a call more important than vandalism do for the community? you should think before you judge. with all of the other things going on in tracy there are many other priorities for police officers. they cannot be everywhere at the same time. the majority of these attacks occur at night time and around the same neighborhoods so why not perform some sort of civil service and initiate a neighborhood watch program? instead of whining and complaining and using the over tasked police force as your scape goat.

Even with the neighborhood watch who is going to be up at 3am waiting for the vandals (not me, I like seeing my eyelids from the inside of my head at that time of the morning). I live in a very friendly neighborhood so we all watch out for each other. I think the police are doing all they can and who knows, they might even know more than they are willing to share at this point in hopes of making an arrest soon.
