I usually find most motorcyclists to be reasonably cautious and safe people on the road. I have had 3 bad experiences in the past year though that concern me.

The first was on 120 when a group or club were riding and one member pulled in front of me and slowed way down, causing me to put on my brakes, so that he could allow his buddies to go in front of me and then drive slower than I had been going. This was really uncalled for as there was plenty of room in back of me.

The second was last month driving on the 205 I had a motorcyclist hit my car and he just kept going. We were in morning traffic barely moving and the guy was driving between lanes and hit my car. It scared the heck out of me and I didn't realize what had happened until he was gone. I got no recognition from him for hitting my car and luckily no damage, but it was one loud bang!

Then this past weekend I was on 580 and again a group of 5 motorcyclists were traveling together. The first rider went blazing past me at about 90 and pulled in front of me. Then the second rider came up in front of me and then put on his hazard lights and braked to make me slow down to allow the other 3 motorcyclists join the other 2. They proceeded to drive slower than they had been.

Now I don't know if they teach motorcycle riders to cut in front of cars and slow down to let fellow motorcycle friends in or if this is just people being rude (as most vehicle owners seem to be these days).

I have always been incredibly courteous to motorcycle riders even making sure I am far over in my lane to allow them to pass safely, but I am confused as to the latest rudeness on the road I have experienced.

A car or truck will win in every situation so I really think these people are not very smart to be rude and careless in this manner. I hope it's just a fluke that I have had these bad experiences!
