http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/smallclaims/#/resource.htm

This Web site has a ton of information on small claims.

You can go to the DMV to see where his truck is registered using his license plate.

Then what you do is just mail the forms to his old address. After 30 days, when he does not respond, you sue him and then when you win in court, you put a lien on him through County court that appears on his record and doesn't go away until he pays up. You may never get your money back, but you will mess his life up. Good luck.

Actually, she will still be able to get her money back...when a lien is put on anything, he won't be able to refi (who can but still), sell, or will it to someone in case of death UNTIL she gets her money...good luck! And Mark David Escklestein, great work on getting her information!

the thing is he didn't own the home he left..so what can I attach if I can't find him. All I have is the licensed plate from his truck. I did look at the DMV and found that it is not a free search. I really need help. Court date is 10/15 and I want to get him. Anyone ...Please help me...or does anyone know this man.

The court can attach a lien to anything he owns like his truck. If you go to the site that was posted it gives you all kinds of info.

Good luck with everything
