I just read the article IHOP to buy out Applebee's. The local Applebee's always has a crowd anytime we go. I can't say the same for IHOP.

I hop Applebee's service doesn't go the way of IHOP.

First thing that comes to my mind when i hear Ihop is "eww" as far as the service and the food.
Applebees is a totally diffrent story, good service, good food, great atmosphere, and bonus most of the servers actually look happy to do their job!

Uh, two crappy-a$$ restaurants want to merge... Who cares? The food and service is bad at both restaurants. Only the names will change? Except that, maybe Applebees can now sell pancakes and IHOP can hire more teenagers to bust tables. Don't forget to "wear more sparkle" on your uniform with each pancake you serve. (reference: movie, Office Space)

It's not sparkle, it's flair. and if you have to name the reference, it's not worth making the reference. Especially when you make the incorrect reference.
