We've tried a lot of different places (I personally still love Round Table, I'm a bit "old school" in that regard), but the family consensus is Milano's. When I see Giants games I love going over to Amici's near the ballpark, but their crusts tend to be a little thin for my preference.
However, I haven't seen any votes for Amore's on 11th St. (their Americano is out of this world).

Sicily is by far my favorite, and a very good bang for the buck, especially if you go with their pickup pricing. I like their thick, soft crust especially. Milano's single-slice deal is good, but their prices for larger selections are steep compared to Sicily. Mountain Mike's pizza was a bit too done for my tastes, although that may depend on chef.

My family tried Pizza factory about a year or so ago and the cashier screwed up our order that after waiting for an hour! - they were not ready with the pizza yet.
When we asked for reimbursement, the morons couldn't even do that.
I've never been back.

I used to like Costco's pizzas until they began making them square. Their sauce can also be a little harsh. Papa Murphy's is good pizza even if you do have to cook it yourself and the price is good. I usually took them home and added extra cheese. There's never enough cheese on any pizza to suit me. My son's favorite is the Chicago stuffed crust pizza. I prefer the Chicken and bacon.
Now back in the 70s the best pizza in town was the combination pizza from Larry's in the little Grantline Road shopping center across from where the firehouse is now. It was so unique from any pizza I have ever had that I still remember the smell. Very meaty, and with hot peppers instead of bell peppers. To this day I still don't know why anyone puts bell peppers on pizza. I always thought only hot peppers belonged on pizza.

Post edited by: Kathy, at: 2007/05/22 02:02

Karma - you will be happy to know the Pizza Factory now has new owners so that should solve your bad experience! I personally like Gigi's and Round Table. Milano was pretty good too.
