Step two: Call the graffiti hotline (209) 831-6583 to request removal of the tags asap http://www.ci.tracy.ca.us/departments/parks/graffiti/, or do it yourself.

maybenotdumBcommenT, Sorry to hear that. I guess they don't do as much as they used to. I know when we still lived there, I called about some graffiti near where we lived and it was dealt with pretty quickly. I always thought it was a good program. I guess the best thing anyone can do is keep a bucket of paint handy and take a photo of the graffiti for the police and hope something gets done. Other than that there is always not giving them a surface to paint on. Planting vines in front of fences and walls can be a good deterrent. It may be costly to plant them and it would require extra maintenance but it might be a more cost effective solution.

Kathy, I believe the more people that report graffiti the better chance Tracy residents can get help from the city to fight this problem.
