A woman called at 2:48 p.m. Sunday to report three guys in black hooded sweatshirts tried to kick her door down on the 2000 block of Jenni Lane.
They ran off toward West High School, she said, and it seemed as though they grabbed a plastic sign from a neighbor’s yard and threw it at the door.
The Tracy Police Department received 408 calls for service between Sunday and Friday. The following is a sample of those calls.
Sunday (133 calls):
1 a.m.: Police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of public drunkenness on the 1500 block of Griffith Place.
1:05 a.m.: A 14-year-old girl was beaten up at the Stone Pine Meadow Apartments’ community center, 227 W. Grant Line Road, a parent of the girl reported. Both suspects go to North Elementary School, the caller said.
1:58 a.m.: A caller reported that three men and a woman defrauded Denny’s, 3718 N. Tracy Blvd.
7:41 a.m.: An employee at Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road, reported her car was broken into and the theft was caught on tape.
11:22 a.m.: A woman reported her windshield and her neighbor’s windshield were vandalized on the 500 block of West Carlton Way.
11:33 a.m.: A caller reported vulgar graffiti on tables, the basketball court and a nearby fence at Zanussi Park, 1500 Promenade Circle.
12:02 p.m.: A man reported his 17-year-old daughter was “out of control” on the 400 block of West Deerwood Lane, and told him she “is going to leave and go live in a homeless shelter.” He called back and said he was restraining her from leaving.
3:18 p.m.: A caller from Safeway, 1801 W. 11th St., reported a shoplifter swiped something and took off just before an officer arrived.
4:50 p.m.: A caller reported a Toyota Prius had a busted window and looked as though things inside the car had been “thrown around” at the Ace Train station, 4800 S. Tracy Blvd.
5:36 p.m.: Police arrested a 45-year-old woman on three outstanding warrants totaling $80,000 at Mancini’s Sleepworld, 2884 W. Grant Line Road. She was booked into the San Joaquin County Jain in French Camp.
5:46 p.m.: Police questioned a suspected gang member at Holly Drive and Kavanagh Avenue.
6:55 p.m.: A house was broken into on the 1400 block of Autumn Lane.
7:01 p.m.: Police arrested a man on suspicion of public drunkenness on the 900 block of Taft Avenue.
7:57 p.m.: A woman called Perko’s, 1321 W. 11th St., and threatened to kill a former employee and her children, a caller told police.
10:03 p.m.: Police questioned six people at Buthmann and Kavanagh avenues who had suspected gang ties.
Saturday (125 calls):
12:49 a.m.: A woman who was a customer at the West Valley Bowl, 2365 East St., was beaten up outside the bowling alley, a caller reported. The caller said she was attacked by two women, and the victim refused an ambulance.
2:02 a.m.: Police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of public drunkenness at El Pescadero Park, 250 W. Kavanagh Ave.
3:33 a.m.: Police arrested a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of drunken driving at Bessie Avenue and Grant Line Road. Her blue Honda Accord was towed, and police booked her into county jail.
6:43 a.m.: A caller reported that a little pooch kept running into the roadway “to check on his friend,” another dog that was killed by a car on the 3000 block of Holly Drive.
8:55 a.m.: A man told police his car was burglarized on the 2400 block of Veneto Lane.
9:42 a.m.: A caller reported a home was burglarized on the 2700 block of Daisy Drive.
10:51 a.m.: Police arrested 34-year-old man on a $30,000 drug warrant on the 1000 block of West Clover Road.
11:37 a.m.: A caller reported being choked unconscious in a fight at Scramblez, 3380 W. Clover Road.
1:12 p.m.: Police arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of public drunkenness at Central Avenue and 10th Street.
1:20 p.m.: A caller reported graffiti at a construction yard on the 200 block of West Valpico Road.
3:19 p.m.: A caller told police she was raped “last night” near Tracy Boulevard and Kavanagh Avenue, but police said she was “uncooperative” and “refused to talk about the incident.” She said she had no injuries.
4:12 p.m.: A man said he returned home to the 4300 block of Oakridge Drive, to find his house had been broken into and a DVD player stolen.
4:33 p.m.: A caller reported a pair of 10-year-old boys were breaking out pickets on a fence at Icardi Park, 2505 Russell Street. The boys put the two pickets back, though, and no permanent damage was done.
4:56 p.m.: Kids climbed through a window into the gymnasium and set of an alarm at Kimball High School, police said. They took off and the window was secured shut.
5:15 p.m.: A guest at the Fairfield Inn, 2410 Naglee Road, called a woman and threatened kill her “because the business charged him for smoking in the room.” The guy left the inn before police got there.
5:20 p.m.: Two kids from Brentwood were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Sears, 3350 Naglee Road. Both were arrested and released to the custody of their parents.
6:11 p.m.: Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of public drunkenness at El Pescadero Park, 250 W. Kavanagh Ave.
6:41 p.m.: A caller reported hearing two or three blasts from a shotgun on the 1400 block of Jones Court. Police talked to residents who pointed toward a home near the end of Berg Road. Police cited and released a suspect and took a weapon as evidence.
9:55 p.m.: A caller reported a vandal spray painted a cuss word on a bathroom at Hoyt Park, 234 Dale Odell Drive.
Friday (150 calls):
2:36 a.m.: Vandalism was reported at Pebblebrook Drive and Valipco Road.
7:42 a.m.: Three students threatened to use a gun to kill a supervisor on a bus at Sycamore Parkway and Windham Court, a caller reported. Police questioned five teenage boys, arrested two and released them to the custody of their parents.
8:10 a.m.: A caller reported a 1990 Acura with a “New Orleans football sticker” on it was stolen from the 200 block of West Central Avenue.
8:16 a.m.: A caller reported gold Honda Accord with a dented driver’s side door was stolen on the 2800 block of Clover Hill Court.
8:22 p.m.: Petty theft was reported at Raley’s, 2550 S. Tracy Blvd.
11:05 a.m.: Police went to West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave., on a report of an assault.
11:13 a.m.: A woman deposited two counterfeit checks while opening an account at the U.S. Bank, 2175 W. Grant Line Road, a caller said, then closed the account after it had $3,000.
11:19 a.m.: A teacher confiscated a stun gun from a student at One Harmony, 1501 W. 11th St.
12:26 p.m.: Three guys walked off with stolen loot from the Chevron station, 3775 N. Tracy Blvd., a caller reported.
12:45 p.m.: Police went to West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave., on a report of a drug violation. One boy was questioned and no arrested were made.
12:47 p.m.: A caller on the 1700 block of Kagehiro Drive reported a guy knocked on her door, busted a window but ran off when he saw her.
3:13 p.m.: A caller reported a white Chevy truck ran into a black Dodge truck and took off from the Rite Aid parking lot, 1970 W. Grant Line Road.
3:23 p.m.: Police went to Tracy High School, 315 E. 11th St., on a report of a "disturbance" between an employee and another person. Police issued a warning.
3:25 p.m.: Police went to West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave., on a report of an assault.
3:34 p.m.: Graffiti was reported on community mailboxes on the 2100 block of Mary Alice Way.
3:55 p.m.: A woman reported pulling up to her home to the 1100 block of Rosette Lane and seeing a teenage boy hop over her fence into the front yard and run off after she honked at him.
4:42 p.m.: A caller reported finding a sliding glass door in back of the house broken and stuff inside the home tampered with on the 1400 block of Roger Drive.
4:53 p.m.: A man on the 2600 block of Evelyn Court reported his wife answered a Craigslist.org rental ad where someone asked for $900 a month in rent and a $500 deposit. He said he wife drove by the home and discovered the house is not for rent.
4:56 p.m.: A 14-year-old denied medical help after being hit by a car at the Post Office, 125 W. Ninth St., a caller reported. The mother took the boy to the hospital.
5:01 p.m.: Police went to West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave., on a report of a drug violation.
5:58 p.m.: A guy swiped a pair of gloves and other stuff from Sears, 3350 Naglee Road, a caller said.
5:59 p.m.: A 15-year-old girl received vulgar text messages from a kid who said they'd put her name and number "all over the school," a caller on Wisteria Lane reported. The caller's daughter was exchanging text messages, police said, asking the other person questions. The other person agreed to stop when asked, and police said no crime was committed.
6:07 p.m.: 6:15 p.m.: Police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting at Save Mart, 2005 N. Tracy Blvd.
7:19 p.m.: A caller reported tenants who were evicted from a home on the 4300 block of Formosa Lane reported might have broken into and damaged it inside.
9:34 p.m.: A caller from the hospital reported a guy from the 400 block of East Ninth Street was in the emergency room with a stab wound to his left forearm, but refused to say how he was hurt.
9:45 p.m.: A caller from Save Mart, 2005 N. Tracy Blvd., reported that two suspected shoplifters ran off but one was caught. The 23-year-old man was handcuffed.

A home invasion sounds really scary to me. If this is happening I would like to know more. Did the victim know the people trying to get in. The fact that they threw a sign at the house makes it seem as if the motive was not robbery but anger.
